Wife and I stopped by for breakfast, staff was quick and responsive and food was delicious. Wife (from Iowa and grew up on local Pork Tenderloins) had the Pork Tenderloin breakfast, loved it, and ended up taking half of it home for lunch. She even stopped the owner and let her know how much she enjoyed breakfast, and the owner, as busy as she was, stopped and listened. Staff really seems to work well together. Good food, decent price, friendly atmosphere.
We accidentally came across this place today when we found out the place we were planning on hitting was closed for today. I have never seen this place before and honestly I didn't notice it when driving out, but my wife pointed it out and 2e decided to check it out. Serendipity is the word I would use. The food was great and humongous portions for the price. Dawn was our server and she was great, very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is very cozy and decorated in country fashion. Also, if you have room.... get the apple pie, it was really good.
Love the country style decor. There was a rosebud in a small ewer on my table. All the staff were friendly and willing to answer questions. I had pork tenderloin with mashed potatoes, green beans and broccoli cheese soup. Delicious.
The last visit was very disappointing. A woman looking like a manager seemed upset when we asked for our eggs to be redone as they came out burnt. Then she brings out some wet par-cooked eggs and calls them soft scrambled. Gross! Since we have had previous visits that were excellent I'm going to consider returning for another try.
We have been traveling( from Florida) staying in Lake Meade for a few days. This place was like a breath of fresh air. The decor, I love it. The music, my favorite. And our meals...... absolutely delicious. While sitting we noticed the obviously, and cofirmed homemade apple pie( got 2 slices to go) Thank you soo much
