My mom, sister and I went on Friday morning for our Mothers Day get together. We got there early. And it's a good thing! Only seating right right now, still outdoors, so limited, but very fun. Only option is order to go. We had grits, of course, and chicken fried steak and gravy, excellent! Chicken and waffles, so good, and a few other things, all very, very good, hot, full of flavor. Kudos!!!
I had been wanting to try this spot for a while. It did not disappoint. Food was great. Had the fried catfish and the grilled catfish. Grits were great. Customer service was good as well. We didn’t wait too long but we were there early. I would definitely go back.
The food was great, especially the grits and catfish. It looked like the owner was employing from the community and giving opportunities to locals. She made sure to personally address any issues while making it a trainable moment. My group chatted with the owner for a second and I can say that I was impressed with her and all that she's doing. So if you want to support a great business while enjoying even better food this is your place!
Me and some friends went to Gritz Cafe this morning for brunch and the food was Delicious. Ms. Emma and Ebony provided Top Notch service. There was an elderly woman in there having brunch with her son and when the staff found out that it was her birthday they all got together with the rest of the restaurant and sung happy birthday to her. Another patron stepped up and paid her and her sons tab which helped restore my faith in humanity during this very Tumultuous time. I love businesses that make you feel special and the fact that it’s a black owned business is icing on the cake. Please continue to do what you’re doing it’s what sets you apart from the others .
Grits were creamy like I like. Chicken crispy and juicy. IMO, I would have liked more seasoning on chicken, but I understand thats subjective. Tried to phone in reservations but was put on 20+ min hold. We decided to walk up and had 1+ hour wait, so decided to order to go. Food was hot and good. Recommend to call in advance for a great food experience.
