Very friendly staff. They were busy but sat us even though it was an hour to closing. We waited patiently and observed staff work hard to push orders out calmly and efficiently. Our food came out hot, fresh and yummy. Sweet tea and lemonade were perfect. Restaurant was clean. It's not fast food so relax, visit and enjoy yourself. If you're in a hurry go to McDonald's. Worth the drive from Utah!
**UPDATE: food still good, even with being delivered (used postmates) ** This restaurant is very clean, well organized but is small (not ideal for large parties to dine in; suggest take out or catering). The food is very good; they give you a cornbread muffin and drinks, to start, has you look over the menu. The waiter, Tim, was very professional, friendly and well informed about the menu items. I'd recommend the food, especially if you love/miss/crave soul food. The restaurant was pretty busy, but the wait was not too long.
•Service was great, courteous and efficient. •Establishment was clean and they had their sanitize station readily available. •The meats were, as my partner described it, slapping! We ordered the Liver and Onions and Fried Red Snapper with Black Eyed Peas, Yams, Macaroni and Collard Greens. •Only the Collard Greens were tasty. I understand each state's definition and taste of Soul Food is different but the sides were a disappointment. •Macaroni was made with powdered cheese resulting in a lumpy texture and it really had no overall taste. •Yams seemed to be made with Corn Syrup or a white sugar and lacked spices, though the texture of Yams itself were perfectly cooked. •Collard Greens tasted straight out of the can with maybe a hint of spice. •Black Eyes Peas were seasoned perfectly and it had my taste buds dancing jollily. •CORN BREAD MUFFINS, how could I forget about those, were DELICIOUS and with just the right amount of sweetness! If you are looking to Dine In, I know it's a pandemic, please arrive during non-peak hours because there were only 3 tables available for use. Calling ahead might be wise to reserve a table but we went about 6:30pm and the phones were ringing off the hook. Portions are definitely worth the price paid. Will be visiting again. I definitely enjoy supporting Black Owned Businesses, more now that we have a pandemic drastically affecting them.
I came from another state to visit this restaurant and they are definitely leading a perfect example of how soul food is supposed to taste, and how a restaurant is supposed to be ran! My food was made to perfection and it was even good the next day! I HIGHLY recommend eating here! I will definitely be eating here again on my next visit! 🤤🥰
The absolute BEST place I’ve eaten in Las Vegas!! No lie.. Somebody said “let’s go to M&M soul food” and I’m so glad they were closed. I’m telling you, I have no complaints about anything I was given!! Hands down the GREATEST. Period.
